The second race leg of of the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta 2018 will take you from the world famous capital of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin, to Bordeaux, France. This final race leg of the regatta provides 10 days of action packed adventure at sea, taking in the Irish and Celtic Seas before entering the historic Bay of Biscay.
This 600 mile voyage will give you all the time you might need to find your sea legs as you depart Dublin and sail to the race start line off of the south-east coast of the Republic of Ireland. Once across the start line, 470 miles and a majestic fleet of Tall Ships and Small Ships will be all that stands between you and victory as you cross the finish line and make your way up the Gironde Estuary to sunny Bordeaux.
Once you do cross the finish line, get ready for a spectacular celebration like no other – the final port of any Tall Ships event is an electrifying experience, and Bordeaux will be no different! The vibrant and high-spirited capital of south-west France will be hosting its first Tall Ships event in 28 years, and 2018’s regatta just happens to coincide with the leading European wine festival, Bordeaux Fête le Vin (Bordeaux Wine Festival), which will celebrate its 20th anniversary during the festivities.
